Very nice as usual William. I agree with the glossy finish on these. It makes them eye candy somehow.
I am willing to bet that you wind up with orders for more of those napkin holders.

Hi Bill,
Great job on the ducks, the finish looks excellent and the napkin holders are fantastic!

Thank you all for the compliments on the duck's,

I decided on the side profile and stain with the first 4,and body shape and
color with this batch, the next batch will include the things I liked
the best from each of these and all about the same color.

Thank you Marcia,
I never thought about a book before and have never seen one or anyone else
doing this type of glue-up but if I can get good enough at this it's something to think
about, I'm really getting hooked on this wood and the glue line reference points.

Hey Christina, Thanks a bunch.
You could be right about the napkin holders two of them are for my sister and the other two
plus one duck are donations to the Smith Island Center (non-profit) for their annual
fund-raiser dinner cruise and auction in September and most of the people on the Island
derive their income from crabbing.

Thanks again guys, I was not sure if you would like the gloss finish or not, I
know I was mixed about it before trying it.

HappY Trails
Bill

Hi Bill,

great ducks, and napkin holders too (I am partial to the ducks though). The gloss sure makes them pop, especially with them being so stylized. Love it!
