Default Pine Carvings

The Duck's are 3.5" to 4"wide x 5"tall x 10.5"long and each one is made from
6 pieces of 3/4" Pine boards cut out with a scroll saw and glued. They are stained
with different blends of Minwax stain then coated with clear gloss Minwax Lacquer and
have 6mm black glass eyes, the width of the body, tail and head are all different.
I just cut away wood untill they kinda looked like a duck in a sort of folk art style.

I don't usually use "Gloss" on my carvings but I bought a can just for these ducks
and napkin holders and I think I like it.

The Napkin holders were done with a scroll saw and are mostly Baltic Birch scroll
saw plywood but two of them have 1/2" pine boards, both sides are the same.

Bill

I just love seeing your new projects when you post them! Have you thought of doing a book on this technique? I'd be in line to purchase one for sure!! Those ducks are beautiful, I like the high gloss on them too.

Marcia.
