Whatever that age might be it's clear that you haven't reached it yet. Your carving is great! Russ |

Charlotte, that is a beautiful carving! It has lots of character and tells a great story. So what if it take you a bit longer, you got something better to do? Carving to me is tranquility! It is what I do and helps me get through each day in a positive way. When I'm carving there is no pain, no time and no troubles. It lets me be me. Doesn't matter if what I make is perfect, that isn't the point. I carve for the joy of it. I'll never be perfect, as it doesn't exist, so I'll strive to do the best I can. So keep up the good work and carve as long as you enjoy it. Bob

Charlotte, the age to stop carving is 969 years old, or, as old as Methuselah was when he died. I don't think any of us are that age yet, so we can keep on making chips fly.

As long as I enjoy my carving, and I do, I intend to carve, I was old 67 when I started. Now if that fella Methuselah lived 969 years if I can practise that long I'm going to be one hell of a carver.
