Default Now Where Could Goldilocks Have Gone????

More gifts! The three bears.... The two smallest are basswood and I made them to send to my nieces out in Arizona. The largest of the three is laminated empress wood and I'll keep it in reserve for when it's needed. You can never tell when you'll run across someone that needs a laugh or a smile. You know how that Walmart advertisement goes. If you meet someone that doesn't have one give them yours! Put a funny sign in it's arms and you've got an instant "Thinking Of You" card! The bears range in size from 2"x2"x4" to 2"x2"x6" and are finished in acrylics and W.B. Poly!

Hi Eddy,

Great job on these wee bears. You did a nice paint job too. I'm going to use your style to carve a cat for my wife.

Ron.. Thanks! Not sure what style you're referring to or if it even has a style! Ha! Ha! I originally got the idea from an article in Carving Magazine Issue #9. What makes it unique is that the head is carved without a pattern. Once you memorize the steps in the cuts it's almost guranteed to come out looking somewhat like a bear! That's mighty important for a wood butcher like myself!

Forrest... Your comments always appreciated. I've a long journey to catch up to your bears but then, I'm in no hurry! If not in this life perhaps the next!... I wonder if the big guy upstairs will let me take my Carvin'Jack with me?
