First off Happy new year everyone!! I started carving about a month or so ago and really like it. Picked up a new tool yesterday at rockler. ![]() The carving jack was on sale and I thought it would be great for "mobile carving" The tool seems well made and is comfortable to use and also comes with its own strop and strop compound. A leather sheath is also included. I used the "carving jack" to make this and finished just about midnight ![]() ![]() I think this tool was a good investment . Also here is a pic of all my " MINIONS" to date! ![]() Hope this was helpful to you in some way and that you enjoyed the pics. Again Happy New Year G-OUT |

Whoa.. I'm seeing double...( from another site) ha ha. I like the way your starting out with carving. I've always liked seeing groupings of these guys. Good job.. I'll be watching for more ya know... ![]() Does that carving Jack feel bulky in the hands? I've looked at it a few times.. and thats my biggest worry , that it would be bulky to hold. Marcia. |

In my hand the carving jack does not feel bulky at all (and I have small hands) , it is more comfortable than I thought it would be. |
