Default new works

hi all
have not posted for a while been extra busy.but i have tried to do a little carving off and on.
as ususal any comments good bad or indifferent are welcomed.

1-group of figures in various stages of completion
2-eagle walking cane made for someone.

Frank...Nice eagal cane. Did you hand carve that staff or has it been turned on a lathe? I assume that the eagal is basswood. What kind of wood is the staff? And how is the eagal secured to the staff?

Eddy smiles-you are correct the eagle is Basswood,and it is glued with epoxy glue to the walnut handle using two dowels,the shaft is oak epoxcied & mortised too the walnut handle.the shaft is worked using a dremel and burr(not carved),and a lot of sanding.

Frank,really nice job you did with the caricatures and the eagle walking cane is very neat also~~ Your painting is nicely done as well. You did a great job on all of them~ Tn

thomp- the caricatures are about 12" in hight excluding the base.
they are all carved using the Lynn D techniques.
