Just started this one last week end. Got 2 Sundays into it. Kind of tough finding time to work on carving this time of year. My shop is in the back of my garage and is heated by a wood stove. Thinking about adding a propane heater next year so it doesn't take so long for the shop to heat up.

Looks great Don. I love carving in cottonwood Bark. I do find it difficult to get thin pieces like window panes like I want. other than that and the mess, great carving. I use a draw knife to get what rough outer bark I want off. Regards

Ken, I like to use a big shallow gouge for roughing. I have done a couple of lighthouses. They look great with bark! Don |
