Default New Story Pole

I just finished a story pole for my father in law for christmas. It commemorates his naval time in WWII and other events in his life. The handle is made of cherry and shows the front of the LST ship he was on in the South Pacific along with his lucky silver dollar carved on the back of the handle. The cane is carved from Norway Spruce.

That is amazing! I love the contrast you got in the shades of stain to show off the fine detail. What a great gift! Extremely successful carving. Thanks for showing it to us.

You realize you're taking the chance of making a grown man cry! Anyone would be thrilled to receive such a touching, sentimental gift!
