I liked the spoon and design looking forward to seeing the set. I have done quite a few but from design in books not my own. They are a lot of fun and my wife keeps them all.

Thank you very much! I am almost finished and illpost the whole set tomorrow! I can't wait to hear what you think of it when it is finished! I really should make myself one...I think I will, after my Grandma's, after my mom's, after, the fairs, and after the internet...then Keoma will get some!

This is not the rest of the set, but it is a new spoon Instead of a new thread, I wanted to post it here. Now I am off to finish what I originally started out to finish! Perfect timing...they need them by tomorrow! Nothing lights a fire under ya like pressure! Yay for pressure...I'd never get anything done!
Please, any opinions are welcome! Have A Beautiful Day!

Nice spoons. Suggestion.......... one the last spoon, and the first, you showed an Oak leaf on the back of the spoon bowl, perhaps make the bowl into a full leaf? Front and back, cupped like a drying leaf? Just an idea.

Nice carving.

Keoma, great designs! I have seen some spoons with the back of handle carved, but not the back of the bowl; good idea. There are some other variations you can use to add interest. Try curving the handle (front-to-back). This opens up the pattern a little and makes it easier to highlight details with shadows. The Norwegians used a lot of curved handles and they added a hook-shaped bump on the back of the handle that allowed the spoon to hang on the side of the cook pot. I just browsed my photos and found I didn't take pictures of some of these details, but I'll do that and post some examples. Keep up the good work. Mike
