Default New project finished

Hi all;
This is the first carving that I,ve done in many years{it,s in my album}.Its my rendition of Harold Enlows "old man".Over all I,m pleased with the results.The eyes aren,t up to par with Harolds{just haven,t mastered eyes.}
Please let me know what you think.All comments are welcome.
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark...you said it, practice practice. I made many a failed attempt at doing eyes so I know where your coming from. One of the biggest challenge I still experience is getting the eyes to wrap around the face as opposed to sitting on the front of the face. The trick to remember (as I was taught) is to start cutting towards the back at the last 1/3 of the eye ball. Keep experimenting and learn from the carvers on this site.
