Default New Project!!

This is a new project I started on last week. It's a Rex Branson Pattern. This is my first attempt at a project with my new camera arm. I always just sat the camera where it would ...work the best but it never really worked good so I designed this one and had a friend build it for me. Its pretty simple but it ...works great. It is alot more comfortable for me to see more detail with more adjustment. All I need now is the custom table he is building in his spare time maybe it will be here in time for Christmas.

I look at the arm for your camera and makes me wonder if one of the arms for those lights that clamp onto a bench wouldn't work? remove the light part and put the camera on the end, the arms move where you want and stay there because of the springs? Would be no adjustments of thumbscrews etc, just move the arm? Just a thought

Hi Ho I tried that but the camera is too heavy and would to fasten on more permanent. This camera I also us for classroom us when I go to class it will magnify the chalk board and put it on a 20 in monitor so I can see front of room so it has to stay portable unless I get rich and can afford another one at 1400.00.

Great start on your carving Ron! The Camera set up looks neat also. Just move the arm where ever. Neat.

Ron you amaze me! I thought of you the other day when I had to bring out the aqua-vu and get it ready for ice fishing. I was wondering if you have checked those cameras out? They too can be connected to a Television for larger views.

I too cannot wait to see the finished product!

I bought a small camera yesterday at Sam's Club and it was only 35.00 and very small, but probably not what you have to have! Too bad, because this would fit on one of those scizzor lamps just fine!

The camera I use is made for this type of application. Most others offered do not reverse the ...picture like this one and this one also ranges in magnification from 5 to 60 power and has an infinity range for classroom or distance. I can also change the contrast levels. For instance if I carve on a dark wood and can't see the marks I can reverse it and make the wood the lighter color, the background would become the darker of the two. It also has built in rollers on the base and I can use it to read by rolling it across the book or paper. They have a headset model that I would like to have but it's around three thousand dallars. It has the camera on the frame and a screen inside the lense that you watch. Its pretty amazing what they are comming up with.

Great idea with the camera mounting. I look forward to seeing how much better your work gets with this kind of equipment helping you see what you're doing more easily.
Again, very inspiring. I like the piece you are working on, and hope to see the images of progress you make on it.
