| | Re: A new dragon on the bench. Hey Bob, I have been reading and following this WIP.
What color wood will the wings be? It looks like the body is butternut and the horns basswood? I think that the only thing I might suggest at this point is pale wood wings and perhaps a few center ridge accents of pale wood near the bottom of the back spine. That would give you three areas of pale wood ...
He is a real grinner!!!!!

| | Re: A new dragon on the bench. Hello Bob,
Awesome dragon. I wanted to try one but was always too intimidated with the details, scales, horns, teeth, wings, mid-line scales, etc., but you've surely not been disuaded. And, I especially appreciate that this is all originating off the top of your head. |

| | Re: A new dragon on the bench. Progress continues. Slowly, but a bit, I take my time. Susan the horns are Holly and the wings are Butternut. Haven't detailed them yet, but some scales on the muscles and fingers will be needed and some shading on the membrane. Have to cover the patch I had to do ...... too agressive carving. I intend to have the talons on the wingtips Holley too.
It's coming. One step and one day at a time.

| | Re: A new dragon on the bench. Bob, I love your dragon. You indicated that the claws would be butternut. This reminded me of a lifesize bear that our local carving club did for the football team, the Golden Bears, of the school where we met. The claws were out of pvc.
