Aye folks Been working on this for the past week or so . Its a big knot oof Ash (I Think) Hollowed it all out with a hook knife I now have arms like Popeye!!! lol Hope ye like it and thanks for lookin Cheers AL |

That is a great burl bowl. What do you put on for a finish? Is that a marble bench top? Popeye could use it for his spinach now. Carve On, Kadiddle |

Hi I put Butchers block oil on it for the finish . and the Marble is just floor tiles that I got from the £1 shop just round the corner from me .. Saves the bench from gettin hacked up ![]() Glad ye liked the Bowl and thanks for lookin Cheers AL |

Thanks Dan The stand I made a few years ago for a geode that I found when out rock hunting Thought it would go well with the bowl . Glad you like them and Thanks for lookin. Bonnie Thankyou very much It was kinda tough but a lot of fun and I had nothing better to do .Funny thing when I cut the burl from the tree and turned it over I saw a happy face Its in the faces in wood thread ! Thanks so much Ron and Paul Its the best one Ive done to date I think and seeing it in the sunlight for the first time today It's now 11am here in the UK it looks even better . Next project is a big sliver of Ash that I also picked up Its gonna be a shallow bowl. Thanks everyone for your great comments Cheers AL |
