| | New Bark Santa (Old world) Hello All,
Playing with some of Artolver's bark. Santa is about 6" tall and 3" wide. Man I love carving bark!!! Did this one quick for me. I have 6 weeks to get my carving invetory back up, I am going to have a Display at our County Library in March, so I gotta get some carvings to display there, hehe.
Thanks for looking and commenting!

| | Re: New Bark Santa (Old world) Nice one Gary. Notice you left the Santa face unpainted. I finished up one but painted the face and do not like it at all. I had a piece that I cut off another piece of CWBark and thought why waste it. The only thing is it was 1/4 inch thick but manage to get a decent Santa carvesd in it.
I like yours a lot.
Thanks for sharing and best to you. |

| | Re: New Bark Santa (Old world) Your Santas have really gotten to be a signature piece of yours. The face is always so calm and serene looking, and the hair on the beards just gets better and better. Wonderful work.

| | Re: New Bark Santa (Old world) Really nice, Gary! I really like the finish yolu put on it too. I have a dumb question . . .I read about people carving "bark" but what is it exactly? The bark with some wood still attached or . . .? I might like to try it
