Hi all, if I was doing this for myself , the answer would be quite simple , but since this is going to be sold to help the Amish. I wanted to get your opinions. I think it would be fine , in a natural finish , or with just a bit of dark tint to the lettering and the trees, do you think color would improve it as in painting it. |

I would go for the natural finish. Light stain would be fine..... But I must admit I am bias, I like the look of natural finish. Greg |

Natural looks good, buuuuuut, a contrast in color like you said on the lettering and tree, leaving the background natural may improve the relief. The lettering and tree should stand out more in my opinion. It does look nice though the way it is.

I like the natural look with a little wash of color on the tree and design and leave the lettering natural.. Just a thought... Charlotte

I would suggest finishing it as the Amish might. If they wash it white, then go with that style. Oh, and by the way; it is always an inspiration to see others share their talents with those in need. Thank you for reminding everyone what is really important.

Garry just a suggestion how about Antique rubbed on to get into the relief and then rub it all off. It would accent the design. JMHO Colin

Thanks all , After reading everything, I tried to combine a natural look with a darkening of the letters I think it came out well. Thanks again. Garry |
