Default My turn for a wood spirit...

I've read so much about all of you carving wood spirits, I had to try it also. This one is 1.5 inches across and 3 inches tall, basswood. The back is carved with vertical random cuts from small gouge and v tool to simulate bark.

Great Woodspirit Claude! That's quite the detail for such a small piece! I also like the paint job! Great work! Thanks for sharing!

Claude, those are great. I never saw one done on a pencil. If a fellow was to carve up a few they'd probably sell fast at a pre-christmas show........

Claude,
Wonderful spirit or greenman with the leaves. His eyes are very mischievious looking.
The pencil woodspirit is pretty awesome as well. I bet you could sell a bunch of those if you wanted to.
