| | My panel Here is some pictures of the panel I have been working on. It's starting to shape up nicely I think but still have some border to finish. Thanks for the help!

| | Re: My panel Shaping up quite nicely! We have so much in common, a fixation with leaves, I too just finished some panels for a woodworking company to go around their counter showing several depictions of the leaves of the wood they sell. What is going in the center of the panel? |

| | Re: My panel Doing leaves just seem to be fun to do. Addiction? I think so after I had all these on the panel I couldn't wait to get twisting and turning them! I attached the pic of what's going to be in the middle. It's not my drawing of the bucks. I can't draw animals! The border is my design and the animals and antlers is from the drawings of Doug Lindstand.

| | Re: My panel That's going to be cool. Speaking of leaves ,twisting and turning , have you ever considered Acanthus leaves?Like regular leaves you can make them do anything , fill spaces stretch, shrink, swirl though these have a bit more classical look to them they can in certain places add a bit of classical charm, wouldn't work though in a panel with deer, but I use them all the time to fill space and add architectural elements.
You don't have to draw the deer,,, only 'gotta carve 'em |

| | Re: My panel I've got to correct myself,,, on hunting rifles you'll see these leaves used successfully in gaming scenes. Looks very proper and elegant,,,,'course the gun is $20,000.00, it better look that way |

| | Re: My panel Leaves add so much to a carving it is really amazing the effect they have when someone looks at the carving. This is going to be a really nice piece when finished.

| | Re: My panel Beautiful work, the leaves will really set off the scene of the bucks in the center. Well done. Looking forward to progress photos.
