thanks to all for the nice compliments i antiqued him today and he looks a whole lot better that linseed oil will do wonders for a paint job. glad you all enjoyed him.i will post more soon.

Nice job Bart. I got to meet Eldon Humpreys at Dollywood this past year. He showed how he created the plaid designs. Neat stuff.
Your profile photo looks similiar to a caricature "ball in cage" I have in my shop. Angel won it at the Charlotte show. Look at it everyday.....

We need more pictures now!

I have three carvings painted, and am fighting myself whether or not to 'antique' them, and how. I would love to see yours for a before/after comparison!

Bart I cant believe I am just getting around to seeing this post absolutly wonderful job on the carving and painting alike. I also cant picture him any better but I would also like to see some more pics since you changed him.

folks i didnt change him at all. someone added the caption to the title i think i know who but anyway. those pics are the un antiqued version he is antiqued now and will try and to post some pics this evening thanks for the comments i do value what you good folks have to say.
