Awwwww shucks, you guys. You're making me blush! Thanks so much for all of the kind words and encouragement.
You are the ones that keep us new carvers inspired.
This little guy is 6" high and carved out of Basswood. He's definitely got a bad case of the "Chester Drawers"
desease...his chest done fell down in his drawers!

Good job Cat! My first carving looked like a smaller version of the larger stick I started with.. I think they call them toothpicks. Hope to meet you at a show before too long!

Thanks you guys for your comments. Although I am my worst critic, I did have a ball carving this. Don't you just love the sound of that knife slicing through the wood and the smell....ohhh my!
