Default My first carving

I am very reluctant to post this but...I have to be a good sport and start somewhere. As soon I finished my little buddy here, I wanted a re-do. LOL! I did have fun and learned so much about my tools and wood in general.
Thanks to all of you, I am gonna keep practicing until I am satisfied with the outcome.

Now why would you be reluctant to post that? You have made an excellent start. There isn't anything wrong with wanting a do-over either. Everybody is their own worst critic. Keep carving and keep posting.

Wow, Catbird, you certainly have nothing to hesitate about. That's more than a nice carving. If that's your first, I'd say you';ve got natural talent hidden in those hands of yours.

Pretty darn good for your first carving, mine looked like a red pointed stick.
My wife has it hidden away somewhere and I hope she forgets where.
You done really good for your first carving you should be proud.

Wow! That's a nice carving to be a first. Looks like he's been eating a little too much fried chicken with that stomach.

Thanks for posting and keep up the good work!
