After asking Ashby if I could try my hand at a dragon like his on a walking stick, this is what I came up with. It still needs red gems put in the eye sockets. (requested) I hope I did you justice Mr. Ashby. ![]() ![]() I didnt use scales on the wings, instead I made them like bat wings, smooth with bone ridges. He's stained with special walnut and will be sealed with a laquer. Thanks for looking. Comments always welcome.

I forgot to say, its a boxelder branch. And that bellybutton is the woods doing.. not mine. I did him with a dremel tool.

Thanks Guys! I tried to do it with my knife but it just wouldnt slide in this wood for some reason. Gave up and did it with the dremel. I was trying to do a fairy with the same idea of the head in the middle with the wings coming up and over.. didnt work.. wacked it off with the bandsaw. LOL |
