Default My Dragon stick

After asking Ashby if I could try my hand at a dragon like his on a walking stick, this is what I came up with. It still needs red gems put in the eye sockets. (requested)

I hope I did you justice Mr. Ashby.

I didnt use scales on the wings, instead I made them like bat wings, smooth with bone ridges.

He's stained with special walnut and will be sealed with a laquer.

Thanks for looking. Comments always welcome.

I forgot to say, its a boxelder branch. And that bellybutton is the woods doing.. not mine. I did him with a dremel tool.

Thanks Guys! I tried to do it with my knife but it just wouldnt slide in this wood for some reason. Gave up and did it with the dremel.

I was trying to do a fairy with the same idea of the head in the middle with the wings coming up and over.. didnt work.. wacked it off with the bandsaw. LOL

That's are very nice stick. You can definitely see that it is a dragon. The red eyes will be impressive when they're mounted.

Nice work Marci, the detail shows up great. Ash.....you should be very proud of what your dragon has inspired.
