Some people had to get rig of this old stump, they hired me to carve it for less than half the price to remove it, I done alright but somethings just not right.

Looks great to me! I'm thinking, the only thing I might add are some wee folk to inhabit the area.

Seriously, they look just right to me. I don't believe that I'd have ever thought of mushrooms in a short stump. Great idea!

They look really. wow working with a chainsaw, only thing I question do you
charge "hazardous duty" pay? Man I would need bed sheet size bandaids. All kidding aside your work is something to brage about.

Bruce great job, I just got a call from a lady who has a three foot stump she wanted carved and I told her there wasent enough to work with sseing that part of it is rotten. I am going to email her and suggest what you have done. I never thought of that before although I have done mushrooms. Thanks for the inspiration and by the way I love them just the way they are super job.

These are AWESOME!! I think they look just right myself. I have a old maple stump that is even smaller and I may just have to give this a try on it one day. VERY cool! I also love the idea of adding some wee folk to the scene. Carve a faerie to sit on top!! Or a gnome lying down and sleeping under it. :-)

Hey quick question - did you use ONLY a chainsaw to do this? Or did you use some grinders or sanders too? I'd really love to hear about the process of carving these and how exactly you went about it.

Thanks!

Thanks again for the nice comments, what I meant by something wrong was the price to remove the stump was more than double then me carving it. oh well. She said she'd be adding little fokes. The carving was mainly done with chainsaws the top was smothed out with a Kutall disc on a grinder.

thanks again
