Default Mtn.. Man Releif aspen cane (Finished carving)

Finished carving, with applied finish of wash acrylics, BLO, and lacquer to the Mtn. Man face. The carving went fairly well considering the small size. I have a total of 6 hours from preparing the aspen shaped cane with a draw knife to applying the final finish. It has been a while since I have attempted a face carving this small, I think I may need to be fitted for some glasses. The fleshy part of the face is the size of a penny.

Mark, that is a beautiful carving. I didn't realize the face was so small. A lot of detail in it for that size. Thanks for posting it.
