| | Mountain Man bark carving Hi,
This is my latest carving. It's my attempt at a mountain man in cottonwood bark. It's 17” tall x 3" thick x 3 1/2" wide, from Vic Hood’s book “Carving Found Wood”, several coats of Deft semi-gloss and then Howard’s Feed-N-Wax applied and finally buffed.

| | Re: Mountain Man bark carving Well done. I particularly like his cap. It's also neat how you tide in the shirt. Sure wish I could get my hands on some of that cotton wood bark. Carvers on this site put out some very interesting carvings with this type of wood...er, bark I mean.

I would say that is much much more than an attempt. You did a wonderful job. Lots of detail. Looks great to me.
