Al thats great! When I was very young, I had two different aunts each get me a lincoln log set for the same Christmas...geez, I was in hog heaven LOL....loved those ....! terrific idea Al!

Lincoln Logs were something I have very fond memories of playing with. My brother and I played with them all the time.
The set you've made is beautiful. Makes me want to play with them again.

Chuck, I made up a jig for doing finger joints on the table saw with a dado blade and another for doing dovetails on the router table. 1/4" and 1/2" finger joints and 1/4" dovetails.

I put a finish on the box....Cabot sanding sealer followed by a couple coats of satin spray poly. No finish on the logs. I was going to stain them but was worried about them getting chewed on as she's about that age, so they are just sanded smooth to get all the rough corners and splinters safely removed. I'm getting more and more concerned about child safe finishes.......gettin' goofy in my old age I guess!

really neat Al! I loved lincoln logs but never had to many. My dream is to live in a log cabin someday.Maybe you can make her a log cabin playhouse someday!
