| | Re: More pictures of WsIP Cliff,
Most of these are finished carvings but need to be painted. I sometimes have several going as I get bored with one and switch to another, then another, and so on. Sometimes I am not sure where to go with one and put it aside and start or work on another till I figure out what to do, then go back to that one.
Ash commented on the Indian's cheek which I knew it wasn't right but set it aside and after ASK comments, picked it back up and carv e the cheeks smother. Not sure I have them smooth enough but am look for the older weathered indian look on this piece.
Hey, I don't have time to photograph all I have going. Maybe if I stuck to one finish it up, I would have a nice carving, eh?
Thank you for the comments. I appreciate them |

| | Re: More pictures of WsIP Kenny, if all your carvings turn out as well as your blue santa (on your web site) you sir, "are a proffesional wood carver". Great stuff there old buddy. I've just begun a new one, instead of a golf ball in a cage, I've manages to get a fishing float in one, it's a lot bigger than a golf ball and I broke 3 of them before I finally got one in. I'll post as I get on with the fisherman for the top.

| | Re: More pictures of WsIP Kenny, really nice carvings. I agree with Cliff. You have done some beautiful work! Love your firemen. I have to come up with something like that for my son for Christmas as he is a fireman.
Nice work!

Cliff, I want to see the fishing float in the cage when you get it down. I like the changing from the golf ball to a fishing float. Neat adaptation for sure.
Corey, I enjoy carving what have you but with a Fireman/paramedic son of my own, I take great delight in carving Fireman for him. However, He is a little upset with his old man as he doesn't get this one. It stays home till I am gone. I have this feeling that maybe he is planning something. Nah, Just joking. He is a great guy as well as my hero. |

| | Re: More pictures of WsIP Hi Kenny,
Great job on the carvings. I've been wanting to carve a Santa for a while now. I couldn't even rough one out. He's sitting on the shelf.
I have the exact same approach to carving as you. I keep starting them and when I get stuck or bored, I put them down. I think I worked on five different projects today. Couldn't concentrate.
The good news is I'll have a bunch of stuff done when I'm done. That's my resolution, to not start any new ones until the unfinished ones are done.
Can't wait till they're painted. I'm learning from all these posts. |
