| | Re: Midi Woman Bust I've got the same book Skip and its a great reference when doing female faces. I will be watching this thread very closely as I would like to see how you make out. I've said this in other discussions on the site that female features are a challenge for me. You must have quite a bandsaw to shape a peice that large - that will save you some time. Anxious to see your results.

| | Re: Midi Woman Bust A little update on the bust, still have a ways to go yet. This piece of wood was not too friendly, I ended up shaving it instead of carving it. I will probably finishup power carving it. Skip

| | Re: Midi Woman Bust Whatever you've done you're right on it appears.
Three questions:
Curious what the wood problem is?
What do you mean by shaving?
No shavings! How did you do that?................never mind.
Nice clean work area.

| | Re: Midi Woman Bust She looks just like her picture in Norbury's book. I'm impressed how you have done her hair. Shame the wood is not cooperating for you. Your doing great with getting those challenging feminine lines.
