Dragons and mythical characters always intrigued me. I'm curious if that is your own creation or from a resource. I would like to experiment with the same on one of the many logs in my basement. My wife tells me to try something besides wood spirits. Its neat how you have the dragon cuddled into the tree. Looking forward to seeing the finished product but keep sharing the different stages your at if you can.

Thanks All,
Glad you like him so far, your feedback always makes me want to push my carvings just a bit farther, and with a bit of luck this will be one of my best to date. It is beyond a doubt the largest carving I have ever done.

Irishman, it is my own design, I look at a lot of fanasty art and if I find something I like I study it and look at how if it was me I would change it. I try pretty hard not to copy anyones work .

Thanks for the support all, I will try to keep you up to date.

Ash

Ok , hit 95 here and I look like a lobster so time to stop until a bit later.
I did a lot of cleaning and undercutting today to bring out the depth a bit more , and started detailing the head so any way here are the update pics .
