Default Man with wheelbarrow

Hi all,

I tend to work several pieces at one time, then if I'm stuck or thinking through a detail I can go on to a different piece.

Here is a blocked out piece I've had on the shelf for a few months. Started it last summer, got it this far, and then stepped away from it while I worked on some other pieces that had sparked my interest.

It's time to get back to this one now as I plan the next one.

Mike -

I really like the way you block out a piece and your cuts are soooo clean!! I'll be looking for the finished work.

This carving reminds me of the story (not my story) of the man working at the lumber mill.

Every day he would be stopped at the gate while pushing a wheelbarrow full of wood shavings.

The guard would check all through the shavings but never found him stealing anything.

This was a daily ritual, the guard would search the shavings and find nothing.

Years later the guard and the mill worker, both retired, met in a bar.

The guard said "I knew you were stealing something, but I could never figure out how or what it was"

The mill worker replied; "Wheelbarrows!"
