Default Madonna and child statue...
Hello folks, This is a photo of my progress so far on a carving that I have been commissioned to do for a benedictine abbey here in the UK. I believe that the original carving is a representation of the Madonna and child carved in the middle ages (1400 AD ish)
My carving is 14 inches high and the original is around 3 feet. More photos of the progress are at www.craftsman.mosaicglobe.com

I have a way to go yet and the customer is eager to see the finished article. I hope I can do it...!

What a great start to a great historic piece. Please remember to post pictures of the finished project. The Abbey should be very happy with this project.
