Default A little progress aboard.

For those folks who have been following progress on the ship, I apologize for being so slow lately. I just haven't been up to doing much, a slip on the ice didn't help. I finally got some work done yesterday and took some pictures when things dried enough to set back in place.

The masts have been stained and the tops and tresstletrees painted. The bowsprit has also been painted and stained. Time to start installing the deadeyes, shrouds, ratlines and standing rigging (main stays and back stays).

It's funny how we don't bounce as good as we used too when we were younger. The ship is looking great. Thanks for sharing. Hope you get healed up soon.

Thanks for the update and I especially appreciate your precise usage of "high seas" terminology since it gives me another opportunity to look up all those new words! Hey, I can learn too!!

Looking at those two ships on the wall fills me full with high adventure. Those ships were the latest high-tech vehicles of the day and probably the equivalent of today's space shuttle. To have crossed the great oceans to the New World must have been some great adventure!

Bob that is really beautiful thanks for showing us the progress. I know how you feel my friend I was taking the recycling out last week and my feet went out from under me I am still a little sore, and to think of all those body checks I took in hockey when I was younger at that time I had the gloves off before the other player knew what hit him. LOL hope you are feeling better.

You can't have too much sand and salt. Now if only they could figure out a lightweight sand/salt 'spitter' a fella could wear while he's out walking around...

Good looking model, even without the rigging. Would look good floating around my bathtub.

Model ship is looking great, Bob! I continue to marvel at the precise detail you've incorporated. Sorry to hear about your ice incident. Down here in FL we don't have to worry about that too much - just hurricanes!!
