| | Re: Little guy and a Walkin stick (lets hear about it) WOW, dang, I'm so pleased with ALL the positive feed back, thank you all so much, I'm sure you all feel the same as I do when you get such great response to your labor of love. I'm gonna get busy and pre cut some blocks before I go to hospital, that way I'll be able to sit back and carve when I get home. I sure won't be going down the basement or using the table saw for a couple days after I come home.
Thanks again

Way to go the little guy looks great.I like that you took you time to but a lot of detail in such a small carving.I also like the cane i've alway like the canes with wild life heads and the egale was a good choice it make a nice top to hold on to.Great job Cliff.

before you get your sergery go get you some basswood eggs, or order them online little shavers got them,
there great to practice faces on, there near the shape of a head already or easter eggs,,,
if you want to add a collar, dowel and a cork they make nice bottle stoppers..

| | Re: Little guy and a Walkin stick (lets hear about it) Hey Thomp, thanks buddy for your offer. I'm pretty well set, I'm gonna cut some pieces to size on the bench saw and have them ready for carving, I have a few in mind. Momma has agreed to let me make a mess in the den till I'm mobile enough to tackle the basemnent steps so I'm good to go.

| | Re: Little guy and a Walkin stick (lets hear about it) I love your little guy with the " what's that you say?" expression on his face.. He's cute as he can be.. I also like the walking stick and good luck on your surgery..I have been using one lately but not as nice as yours.. I am sure you will sail through it . Charlotte |

| | Re: Little guy and a Walkin stick (lets hear about it) Cliff, great job - I guess, I was the only one who got the opportunity to see your carvings in reality. Have to say, the pictures do not do them justice. It is great to see your progress and it was so nice to meet you and your wife at the show - always good to add a face to these posts and pictures.
