Default Little bride's tortiose

Her is a whimiscal Tortiose my wife carved from a hen size bass egg. Added the head and it sits up, She says she isn't finished with it. Probably will glue some girly junk on it, Knowing her.

Color is a mixture of green and browns with the underbelly a tarker tan

Well that is just incredibly cute. Therefore I defend her right to encrust it with as much girly junk as she pleases!! But let us see the results! By the way there's a 19th century story by Huysmans about a rich batchelor who gets his tortoise encrusted with gemstones, so I think tortoise embellishment has no gender biass.....

The Little Bride did a very good job on the tortoise. It's her carving so she should be able to embellish it all she wants. Very cool idea with the hen egg.

Thanks all, She was happy to see your comment.
One thing I have learned, yep I do learn, that background color in pictures do affect the final product. The head of the turtoise( my/Our 4 year old calls it that), is a light green but does not show up as such. Lighting makes a difference also. However, I will keep pluing away at the picture taking as well as the carving.
The little bride seems pleased and if she is pleased, I am more than happy. At least the "dang club" hasn't been out for quite a while. Hmmm, Maybe I will send it to Wade's wife.
