great job hal. i was curious to know what you used to seal it with that was baby safe. i have a new nephew and was considering making him a rattle, but i can't think of anything that would be safe enough for him to put in his mouth.

I don't know what he used for a finish, but mineral oil would work. Non toxic, safe, won't go rancid and easy to apply. Just rub it in with your hands. I've used it for bowls.
