Default leaf

my first leaf carving. was a lot of fun though it took so many time... i was inspired to try a leaf by the greenman of mark, and so i made drawings using pictures on acanthus leaf carvings as reference. i focused on one i particularly liked, and started carving...when i had the outline cut, i remembered mark had shown me leafs for inspiration too, and i looked them again, and found my leaf has very similar outline design to one of his... found this funny... hope you enjoy, despite foto is not the best ...oh, yes constructive critique is welcome, so i can improve on next one...

Will wonders never cease??? THAT"S BEAUTIFUL Doris. The line,, the flow,,the details,,,EXCELLENT JOB!!!! You've even curled the tip back on itself, overlaid leaves without them looking like shingles,,just great!
Where the eyelets are the folds bunch up just as they should, the mass of the right is counterbalanced against the left,,it's complex, yet relaxed and just flows,,a treat to look at.THANK YOU.
Your first,,,can't wait to see what you come up with next,, and as your tool selection grows,,,look out!
For a beginner to do this, with only a handful of tools,,someone has been paying attention,,,,and "seeing".
