Default latest work

Recently finished project for a Traumatic Brain Injury lockdown ward. The panel is intended to stimulate the brain through touch and color and through familiar subject matter.
The panel is carved from basswood and is 48"w x 2 1/8"t x 53"h. There are 22 leaves that have been attached in various places to increase the dimensional quality of the work. The finish is latex paints diluted 50%to 75% and applied in multiple coats and colors. There were 14 different colors used to complete the finish.
Any and all comments are welcome!

Stave

Hi Stave,
Great idea, fantastic carving & painting, but even better yet, the reason behind the whole piece. My hat is off to you.
