Default Latest carving and work in progress

Here's some pictures of my latest carving and a work in progess. The black capped chickadee is the first bird that I've ever made. I carved it with hand tools. The one that I'm working on now I carved with my new wecheer flaxable shaft machine. As you can see I've already started burning in the feathers.

Great start Dylan, does that mean you are "going to the birds"?

Nice work, Dylan! Makes me want to dig out that Chickadee I started years ago and get him done. for some reason I've been afraid to start (or rather finish) birds. Maybe whentheis shoulder heals up enough so's I can handle a knife....well, we'll see.

Good work and a very nice setting on the display, too!

Nice work Dylan. The setting is great and the Chickadee looks splendid.
