Default late Christmas and a birthday

I made a hand mirror and comb for my mother, as a belated Christmas and a birthday. She had lost her mirror in a tornado in Arkansas last year and asked for another one. It's marquetry not carving, but started as one and I didn't like the finished product and didn't have the "want-to" to redeem it at the time. I put the paint on too thick, but I will take care of it later. The comb and the mirror have two different types of humming birds.
Now, I have 3 more combs started and will have to add 2 more before long, and I have some ideas for the carving in them to make them more personal for their new owners.
Michael
Thanks for looking, and as always, comments and criticism welcome.
