Yes, I've now got another WIP on the go I'm hoping to get a veiner at least before I carry on wih my woodspirit. Well, I saw this in the mag and inspiration struck! I was given a box of loads of hardwood floor sample pieces all 2 1/2" square and 1/4" thick. They look like they are mostly beech from the look of the grain. Here it is so far



I don't have a scrollsaw or even a coping saw (well ok, I do have a coping saw, just no blades ) so I drilled holes in the waste parts and cut out the holes with a small chisel tip on my craft knife, Victorinox pocket pal and my Frosts carver. I've started to take the edges off but that's as far as I've got today

Good Job! How lucky to get some 1/4" x 2 1/2" all ready for you to carver brouches. I think you did really well for using only knive and gouge.
