Default Just finished another Wood Spirit..

I have been carving off and on for a year now and this is my 20th finished piece. I have been trying to carve different things such as relief and in the round but I always seem to go back to my favorites and they are the Wood Spirits..Thanks for looking..Bruce

Bruce, A very nice Wood Spirit indeed. It also has that look of an old Dutch Master painter or such.....Good carving and finish. Tom H

Super wood spirit. The rough wood in the hat really adds to the effect. Great face.

Really nice job for only a year and your 20th piece! Woodspirits have also become strongly addictive for me too! I always say that it took me carving 30 woodspirits before I was satisfied with the first one. Guess that my learning curve is a little more far-stretched than yours.

Thanks for posting!

A man's got to do what a man's got to do! Looks like you do woodspirits just fine...why ruin a good thing?
