Very interesting style, how much carving did you on it? What type of finish? Looks great, it would sell fast!!

What's next?

Jax

Thanks Jax, not sure what you mean, i did all the carving on it, it is one piece of juniper, a limb that had a crotch in it, so that there was two branches going off in different directions and a few other branches. everything you see was already in the wood, nothing is added except the base out of black walnut. I think some would call this found wood. The finish is tung oil, hand rubbed multiply applications, probably 40+ coats. next is some more found wood, have found a style that is really fun to carve and i love it. thanks again.....................

Looks very good for sure, where do you get the juniper? Good luck at the World show. You entering in Open catagory or intermediate. I am guessing Open with your talent. Oops, hope I am not asking to many questions.
Good Luck
Gene

Good luck in the World competition Virgil. I especially like the way the different natural colors in the finish compliments the shapes, and I'm very impressed that you found all of that going on in one piece of juniper. Let us know how it goes.
