| | Re: A Jon Nelson fun Santa. I appreciate the nice comments on my Santa and I am so glad that it made you smile..That's what I was aiming for..
Susan the talest point on the carving is seven inches and the base is nine and a half inches long.. That is the shortest Santa I have done so far and that is why he was so much fun..lol sure was easy to hold and turn. I wanted to arve two baby raccoons in the stump but my stump was too small and I knew I couldn't do a good job with smaller raccoons..
I enjoyed looking at your web site and my favorite are the candlestick Santas . very cute.. Charlotte |

| | Re: A Jon Nelson fun Santa. Thank you Bart amd Chuck for the nice compliment .. It sure makes one want to keep on carving .. I appreciate it... I am thinking of trying to carve a replica of a stuffed Santa... I wonder if that will seem like a stupid idea but I think it would be fun.. My first carving was like a stuffed angel . Lots of fun there...Charlotte |

| | Re: A Jon Nelson fun Santa. Kenny, I am sorry , I didh't think there was any more comments on the carving.. Thank you for such nice words.. The snow is called Snow Tex and I have a carving that is ten years old and it still looks good ..I have used it for years.. It dries very hard and seems to keep it's color.. I am sure most art supply stores have it.. I usually order mine from the Artist Club.. Thanks, Charlotte | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
