Default Itchy dog

This one stand about 3' tall carved in elm, I have some more to do with it, than I'll stain in the colors I want. I think the ears and the feet will be dark. Sorry for the poor Photo, it was a little dark, I'll try a better one when finished. about 4 hours into it so far.

That one's got it all... big flappy ears, sitting half-hunched on his lamb chops, and boy oh' boy, those are some of the strongest "puppy dog" eyes ever!

Wish that I could pet 'em!!

Bruce,,very nice piece!Thought I could carve fast. You've caught some subtle but important actions in this pose.It has a very natural feel to it.Sometimes "action" poses don't work well ,seeing something frozen in time looks awkward but you pulled this off very well.

P.S. don't worry about it being dark, the carving looks great, black backgrounds work well,,, no clutter to distract my view.I get distracted quite easily.

Nice work Bruce. You've captured the action very well! Nothing wrong with the picture, stands out just right from the background.
