Default It isn't often..

I get a job where i can post .

This is a frame for a grad picture, Susan's pattern slightly modified to hold a frame inside. The frame is for a 3x5 picture, and I get to carve the leaves .

The first pic is a practice piece, been a while since I did any leaf carving so since I messed up the first piece when I was cutting it out I used it to my advantage.

The frame is cherry , pattern layout by laser , cutout with a scroll saw, ( too thick for the laser how I got my practice piece ) and will be finished with the leaves being carved in.

That looks very nice with or without a photo. I like the pattern you used, and with cherry as the wood, it must look sharp in real life.

Well best laid plans of mice and men.

I had finished the frame, and was asking what finish , I placed the frame on my desk,..... my phone rang my brother reach over to answer the phone ...

I heard OH !!!>> deleated by censors <<< !!!

The frame was in pieces .....

I couldn't tell the woman so .... time to carve another , and get the finish done in a hurry... so ...

Anyway , the piece was finished in 24 K gold leaf and she seem to really like it.

So yeasterday I had a few mins , so I glued the first one back together , and gold painted it . This one is not the 24 K gold as it will be added to the showroom and not for sale but I thought you might like to see it.
