| | Inlaid cross and grapes Here is an update on the grapes and cross.You can see the final form of the grapes from the original shot. I also included how I'm doing the inlays (1/8th inch) maple in the mahogany. I'm going to burn in some details on the leaves and wheat to make them stand out a bit more.As well as the sample of the final finish ( contrasts well I think) and the rough "sketch" of the cross I did for the client so they could see the final size for reference.You can also make out the general shape of the leaf at the end of the cross which will appear on the end of each bar.

| | Re: Inlaid cross and grapes Here is one of the leaf ends for the cross,,simple and clean looking,,I may add some serrations to the edges and possibly some slight veining,,don't want it too busy though since the whole piece is fairly simple looking without much carving on it. |
