Default Indian face

Two weeks later,I have my 8th project done,I really took my time on this guy.
I love carving,Its relaxing, and a fantastic way to exspress our selves.
I love doing the wood spirits, and the indians,I think I will carve them for a while, and try to get better at faces.
I know there are some things wrong with this indian face, but he"s mine, and I think I will keep him.
Thanks again Patrick for letting me try to carve some of details from the last indian face that you posted. Thanks for all your help bud.
Lennie.

Hey there son, you're comming along just fine, to bad about the knot and the discoloration on the side of his face, but I'd say ya done pretty dang good on this one. I've gotta see it in person to really pick it apart on ya. Bring it Sunday for easter dinner and I'll have a look see.

I've been waiting anxiously to see this posting Lennie and you did a fine job. I see you incorporated the feathers and hair wrap from the one I posted here. You've got your own style forming, and don't let your father give you a hard time . Tell him we want to see him carve a NA Indian...until then, he can't critique our work.
Take your eyes into the socket a little more and remember to keep an orb shape - that is if your looking for any enhancement on an already good job. You probaby saw KC's posting on eyes. There are some good tips there that we all need to remember.
Keep at it. Your building on your skills with each one you've posted.
Patrick

Lennie,
Great job on the native as Patrick says your developing your own style. Dont worry about the knot or discolouration in the wood that happens and sometimes enhances the carving. If you are using Patricks carvings as a guide you cant go wrong he has the face carving down pat.
