| | Indian with Bear Skin A few months ago , I carved a mountian man trader,
I took some time this week end to start work on the rest of the carving , I thought you might like to see , one of the Indians that will be part of it. Not finished but it is in progress .
Ron, The Indian is in a bear skin robe. the wood for the Indians is spanish.

| | Re: Indian with Bear Skin Recessing him into the wood like that will look really nice when its done, but I expect its hard to get in there and remove the wood. The teeth above his brow will provide a good effect. He's tiny...if that is a memory card I'm looking at in the second photo. Be sure to show us the finished piece.

| | Re: Indian with Bear Skin Patrick it is a memory card for reference. The Indian is still on the base, at this point but I am forming the cape now.
The trader is almost 8 inches the Indian will be just over 7 1/4 when finished.
Here they are together at this point.

Well finished most of the detail , and decided to finish the cape , so here are the pics. Hope you like it , never done anything like that before so..
