Default Hedgehog Huddle

Heres a carving I've just finished working on. He's a birthday present for my Sister-in-law who loves Hedgehogs. I saw a photo of a baby hedgehog huddled up online and decided to have a go.
I used a scrap piece of wood i found at work, pine i think??
I painted him with acrylic paints and used watery washes of colour. I'm quite pleased with the result and am keen to find out what you guys think. All comments welcome.

Hes very cute and im sure it will be gratefully received. My only comment is, it would look a bit better if he had his spikes carved on or burnt on.

I like it very much. It looks like something that could become a signature piece. I would not be surprised if you start to get orders for more.
Well done!
