| | "HEAD TO TOE" - Latest Project My latest carving project is a six inch tall Indian holding a peace pipe carved with a knife specefically as a "work in progress" photo trail for my blog. The two photos below are close to the end of the carving process while the main emphasis of the post on the blog is to talk about carving a project to its basic FORM first, and then and only once the form is nearly correct, begin carving the various parts of the project with DETAIL carving or as I use the old literary saw: FORM FOLLOW FUNCTION and DETAIL FOLLOW FORM. For a more detailed description please visit my blog at WoodBeeCarver Thanks (For any who might have trouble enlarging photos, like Cliff did, find on your computer screen the + in a circle and 100% beside it and that should "Change zoom level" at least it does on my computer, text on the blog can be enlarged by going to "View" and click on "Text Size" to make larger, thanks, DKM)

| | Re: "HEAD TO TOE" - Latest Project Don, he looks great considering his overall size. I have a problem tho, I went to your blog and there are some wonderful carvings on there, my only concern is that I can't really see them, the pics won't enlarge enough to really make them out. You've done a great job on the Indian blog and it could be very helpful if the pix were larger.

| | Re: "HEAD TO TOE" - Latest Project Don, Yep! another winner of a fine Carving. You and I both know that a 6 inch carving of a character is not all that small. But by the time you do the fine detail carving that you are so well know for.....the whole carving becomes much smaller. Your small (very small) detail work is just fantastic. Keep sharing these photos.
