Default hatchet (Tomahawk) job

I've been chipp'n away at this for a couple of weeks. It trying to be a likeness off Sharita. It will go to the Nebraska state park when finished. This is my second try at it. C&C welcome.

Thanks Bill, I wish I could find something to seal the wood that wouldn't darken it so much It makes features difficult to see. I've tried BLO on the first try then DEFT on this one. Still to dark

ElWoodTroll, your chipp'n away is really nice. I wish I could chip away like you. I just make chips...tee hee Boy this is going to be nice--will it be an out of door piece? The wood is beautiful what is it?

Thank you all for your comments.The wood is red cedar. It grows like weeds around this country and ranchers are only too happy to have it gone. While it is a soft wood, it seems to carve well but you do have to mind the grain when you get down to the details. I just love the smell of it.
I was hoping for some c&c. I haven't finished rounding out the back of the head and I think I may have jumped the gun by doing the ears allready. Any thoughts?
